Sean Yates Caloi Merckx Motorola
Authentic Sean Yates team bike, built as he would have ridden. 7402 downtube shifters and aero brake levers, 180mm crankset, 7410 seat post, dual pivot brake calipers (though Yates sometimes ran a single pivot in the rear). Wolber tubular wheelset on Dura Ace hubs. This frame has quite a few nicks, some touchups, and a very small indentation on the top tube. Happy to send more photos and answer any questions. I meaure 59cm ST & TT center-to-center.
In 1995-96 the Caloi name appeared on Merckx made bikes for the Motorola professional cycling team. The bicycles themselves continued to be built by the Merckx factory, as they had been for years, with the Caloi badge a sponsorship arrangement not so different than "Murray" and "Huffy", which had adorned earlier Team 7-Eleven bikes made by Rossin and Serotta.
