3bbb Classic Bicycles began in 2019 as a small personal collection, a quest to ride the best classic steel lugged bikes from around the world. Things quickly got out of control. One day you're replacing pulley wheels on a Suntour Superbe rear derailleur, and the next, you're buying a full Campagnolo Master Tool Box. The hobby turned into a full-service classic bike shop, connecting collectors with bikes for L'Eroica, the dream bike of their youth, and their forever grail bike. Now, each year dozens of bikes are restored and shipped across the United States and Europe.

To give the collection clarity, today 3bbb focuses on American builders from the 1970s and 80s. A forthcoming effort titled "The American Bicycle Builder" will celebrate the stories of these frame builders in words and photos. The era was uniquely American in a number of ways: the style, the people, the purpose, all new in the bicycle world. The names are innumerable but will include giants of the industry such as Mark DiNucci and Albert Eisentraut, as well as lesser-known builders like Greg Diamond and Michael Johnson.

Bikes from around the world still find their way to 3bbb. At any given time, a Bernard Carré, Motobecane, Bianchi, Pinarello, or Raleigh may be in the workstand. 3bbb also collects and restores pro team race bikes connected to American teams and riders, such as the iconic Serotta and Merckx bikes of Team 7-Eleven and Team Motorola.

Whether you are looking to add to your vintage bicycle collection, restore an old race bike, or wish to experience a steel lugged bike with soul on your next ride, we can help. Still a one-man shop, 3bbb is supported by a network of dedicated vintage bicycle collectors. If we don't have what you're looking for or are not able to answer your question, we'll connect you to the person who can.
