Alex Singer randonneur no. 3275
Alex Singer Cycles was founded in 1938 by Alex Singer in Levallois-Perret, a suburb of Paris. While Alex Singer founded the campany, Ernest Csuka (Singer's nephew) made the marquee legendary. Ernest joined the effort in 1944 and assumed ownership after Singer passed away in 1967. Under the Ernest's leadership, Alex Singer Cycles became known for meticulous craftsmanship of frames as well as custom racks and other hand crafted elements.
Ernest Csuka passed away in 2009, but he lived long enough to see a massive resurgence in interest for his work, particularly from Japanese and American collectors. Today, the shop is still located at 53 rue Victor Hugo in Levallois-Perret and is run by Ernest’s son, Olivier Csuka.
The frame measures 57cm square. The seat height in the photos is ~75cm. I'd really love to avoid shipping due to the racks and fenders. Reynolds 531 frame, 9spd Campagnolo Record, TA Specialites triple crankset, custom front/rear racks, matching fenders, Nitto bar, custom stem, XT hubs. Serial number 3275. Happy to answer questions.
