I've only ever seen one other example like this bike and it was listed on the Premium Cycling site. I believe that this is a team replica frame built up as the 1984 Atala-Campagnolo team would have ridden. The bike sold by Premium Cycling was said to be a team bike: https://premium-cycling.com/.../atala-corsa.../.
This is one sweet bike. Beautiful original champagne color and blue decals. Chrome is in great condition. Columbus tubing. This has a Campagnolo Super Record rear derailleur with titanium bolts. Nuovo Record levers (they're lighter than the drilled Super Record). Cinelli bar and stem. Campagnolo pedals (steel axle). Brooks Colt saddle.
More from the Premium Cycling history: Trademark Atala was born in 1907 in Milan and is responsible for writing many memorable pages in the cycling history. The Atala cycling team that was created in 1908 and officially retired in 1989, so for sure one the teams with longest existence. It was partnered with several co-sponsors, but Atala was always first The first two editions of the Giro d’Italia 1909 and 1910, were won Luigi Ganna and Carlo Galetti and both rode for Atala Team. In 1921 artigian frame-builder Cesare Rizatto took over building top road bikes for Atala.
Atala sponsored a professional cycling team in mid/late 1980s. They had several cycling champions on board: swiss sprinter Urs Freuler who won 10 world championships on track and 15 stages at Giro d’Italia in 1980s, Pierino Gavazzi who was 1983 Italian national champion.
